The Dream

The Dream by Dana Enache

THE DREAM

I see her. She’s climbed up on the kitchen counter watching me, as a predator follows its prey: quietly, without any movement, without any noise. I ignore her and open the fridge to get the bottle of apple juice. I take a glass out of the cupboard, pour my juice and sit down at the table. I finish drinking, put the bottle back and look at her again. She has pitch-black eyes, but all monsters have them, don’t they? They are so dark that I can’t even tell if she has pupils or not.

A collection of short horror and psychological stories that plays with agony, fear and trauma of different characters. Which one will be your favourite?
